Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Buck leads off with a single. Nice. I wouldnt want to be his legs today.Laggy moves him into scoring position.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Ronnie: "They're beating each other up with throw pillows." ha!
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 You kind of get the feeling that they'll never score another run, ever. Both teams will just collapse from exhaustion and call it a tie.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Ok, to give my brief story of this game. 5.50 pm, ask here is it likely to be on, ye say yes. MRS is in bed having nap, 3.5 year old daughter watching "Sofia the 1st" on TV 3 month old daughter snoozing. So, I'm tidying the kitchen and the like while watching the game. 6.45 visitors call to drop off a few bits, stop watching.7.00 visitors gone, cooking dinner for the 3.5 year old (I say 3.5 she's almost 4 actually) 7.20 3.5 month old daughter eating dinner (penne with a ragu) I'm prepping bottle etc for 8pm feed 7.35 Far better half up, 7.50 start feed a few early, move to watching game on Apple TV8.40 finished feed, bigger one is in bed. 9pm start prepping our own dinner, herself's working on computer so turn it off in main room and back on the iPad. 9.30 dinner ready to eat, turn off game. 10.30 finished dinner and come back in to tidy kitchen while herself gets back to workGAME STILL ON??????????11.25, started prepping next feed. SERIOUSLY. It'd be one thing if the game STARTED at a feed, like the 7pm ET ones do, but the game was 1.45 IN when I started the little lady's last feed. I'll be starting another one in about 35 mins!!What are the chances?
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I like the little things I'm seeing from Lagares, like that backup on the pop out to Murphy. Maybe he was a little too intense there but I still like it.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Ah, I only just saw that, the MLBTV delay is quite long on the Irish ipad tonight.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Then beware It would help if the Mets did things worth typing about.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 There's nothing to spoil.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Marcum mowing 'em down.Looking to the buttend of the order for the 8th time to win this thing now.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 I stopped and restarted to catch up and missed the double. Lagares has just popped up.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Hopefully this game will go on long enough for Nieuwenhuis's plane to get here from Vegas, then we can release Ankeil and PH Nieuwy next time up.
duan Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 right, about to do night feed. Chat again @ inning 23/24 ?
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Gotta like Marcum this afternoon/evening (so far).
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 7 shutout innings from Marcum? Thats freakin amazin'.Whatever he does from here on out he will not get any blame from me. I salute him!
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Kong76 wrote:Hope they can reward him with a W.really.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 When do we send Marcum to right and bring Ankiel in to pitch?
Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Marcum is coming off an injury. You can't really expect him to go too much longer.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 He's in trouble here, but 103 pitches from Marcum? Yikes. And Miami takes the lead 2-1.If the Mets dont come back no one besides pitchers are getting any brew from me.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 Shaun lined up for a loss. If they don't get him off the hook its a sad, sad state of affairs.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted June 8, 2013 Posted June 8, 2013 They can't beat the Marlins ... it's depressing.
