cliff not included.

Who but WB Mason would put such little effort into a giveaway? JS Wilpon, that's who.

This thread title requires a level of optimism for the Mets that not even I can summon at this point.

Or a Mike Baxter bobble-shoulder doll that crashes into a mini-W.B. Mason wall.

I recommend covering your eyes and drinking heavily during the scary parts.

Tonight's bubble-prickers. Duda sits vs. a RHP.

I realize 'Spin is swifter, but with Murphy reaching base like nobody's biz and Jordany slugging like Popeye on a spinach bender, shouldn't the Mufftone be at the top of the lineup and rookie in the middle?

OMG, that losing streak is going to be sorry it stuck around tonight...

Nats up 2-zip after two. Lone Met hit was a leadoff single by Tejada, erased by a Valdesping GiDP.

Jason Bay looks like he has his strikeout swing working.

I'm Chris Young, and I don't like to throw strikes to Bryce Harper. It's just not something I'm looking to do.

Perhaps a hard-hit ball or two this inning.

Well, that was hard hit. Kaboom, Mr. Wright.

The difference in this game so far can be summed up as Young's inability to globe Lombardozzi's lead-off batter come-backer and/or Valdespin's sudden GiDP-itis.

Doesn't Michael Morse look like a guy from one of those Natural History Museum displays that's holding a club above his head ready to finish off the Mastodon he and his clan have just brought down?

At 89 pitches Young likely has one more inning in him at best, I would pinch-hit there instead of leaving him to bunt.

Young assures the inning goes down the drain by making 3 straight foul bunts.

Jordanny swinging like a guy who doesn't get to start a whole lot.

Bay is so toothless they don't even bring in a righty to face him.
