I was thinking it might have to do with the Killer B's of the Biggio/Bagwell days.

Yup.

Then your grade is, appropriately enough, revised to a B.

Well, sure. Who would want to admit to being from New Jersey?

I don't mind being from Jersey, I just want to make sure they know it's NY Jersey, not Philly Jersey. ew.

Houston Petros (in recognition of being the world's largest manufacturer of petrochemicals)
Houston My Name is Not Susan (because that would be funny)

The problem with the Tralfazzes (I always thought of it as "Trowlfazz") is that they'd be the Astros again in 30 minutes.

Sugar Daddies could work.

I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you.

In my view of the world, The far northwest. like by Buttzville and what not. nowhere near NYC, nowhere near Philly. up near the border of PA/NY/NJ.

Houston Derricks
Houston Embargo Profiteers
Houston Hubs
Houston Sams
Houston Sprawl
Houston Killer Light Rail

I dunno, that's never really bugged me. Hell, I tell people I'm from New York too, and I'm about the same distance away.

Whoawhoawhoa. That's the sort of thing I'd expect from a "Chicagoan," or "Angeleno."

The Houston Sprawl is my personal fave from that list. Their mascot could be Sally Struthers, who herself has spread slowly, like an oceanic petroleum spill.

I'm pretty sure I'm just in denial. And yeah, I'm sure people from say Gary, Indiana say they're from Chicago.

The funny thing is when people ask "where in New York" and I say "oh, just over the bridge in Jersey" they accept it.

The Houston Restaurants.

They have more places to eat out per capita than any major city in the US.
(At least that was in the Chamber of Commerce stuff the last time I was there.)

I just skimmed Houston's Wikipedia page, and based on that, I think an appropriate name would be the Bayous.

(Houston was founded on the banks of the Buffalo Bayou, which seems to explain the name of the minor league team. The city has four major bayous.)

Then they could reacquire Michael Bourn.

Sael of the City of Houston

On Monday February 17, 1840 at the regular City Council meeting a resolution was passed authorizing Mayor Charles Bigelow "to procure a seal to be styled, the seal for the City of Houston, Texas."

Dr. Francis Moore, Jr. was a state senator and former mayor of Houston. It was he who had the original seal designed. The top half of the seal bore the words, "City of Houston." The bottom half was originally empty. Dr. Moore was paid $50 for the seal, and "his honor the Mayor, caused the word 'Texas' to be cut on said seal."

The center of the seal bears "The Lone Star, symbol of the newborn nation of the west...... the 'Noble locomotive', heralding Houston's spirit of progress; the humble plow, symbol of the agricultural empire of Texas, from which Houston would draw her wealth - by the iron rails."

The Houston Locomotives?
The Houston Engineers?
The Houston Conductors?
The Houston Cabooses?

Help me out here...
