Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 The 2012 bullpen does what the 2009 bullpen was supposed to.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 So much for the lousy ST record. What a job by the bullpen! The Mercedes-Benz Super Slo-Mo of David Wright's reaction was fantastic.
Guest holychicken Guests Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Phew! We won't go onlydefeated this year.
Edgy MD Site Manager Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 Wow, .647 on opening day. Almost no negativity. Gary had to go out and play the "looks like Benitez" card, but other than that, a huge cultural positive.Competitiveness-wise, we're thin on outfielders, and our lefthanded sluggers didn't get it done. Did Davis drop his hands toward his crotch as the pitcher started his windup last year?

Guest sharpie Guests Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Happy enough. Good voice. Some banter about the "texting gloves" giveaway where Josh played the role of young guy and Howie played the role of old guy.

Lundy Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 I don't post much here anymore, but I still check in from time to time. It was a great, almost perfect day weatherwise for a baseball game. It was good to meet up with Metfairy and KC and D-Dad. Got to meet some new faces as well.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 11 pages? you guys did good. I'll have to go back and read through it later. Was a good game. Was a fun atmosphere too, people were mostly into and Bay even only got mostly booed. Really love the new scoreboard. they've really updated the content so no longer will they pop up things like Scott Hairston: .244 1 HR 5 RBI in June like that means anything. OBP/SLG/OPS although that seem redundant. WHIP. XBHs. Even shows the spray chart for a batter's balls in play for the game. scoring summary for the inning (How'd Ike get on again? oh right)

Was going for another but the line were crazy so I opted to actually watch the game instead. Missed Blue Point..might have to have a little rant about that. I've got some pictures that I'll dump in Edgy's Opening Day picture thread when I get home(still on LI)
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Always glad to see the team win on opening day. Pelfrey and Bay got all the boos in the introductions. Biggest cheers for Wright, Dickey and Santana. Was very pleased with the bullpen, particularly Byrdak and Rauch. The game might not have been sold out but there were indeed a lot of people there and it was probably close to a sellout; I guess I wasn't the only one who caved because it was opening day.

Even the Braves were clapping for Kiner.

And what new scoreboard?
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 They updated the graphics/layouts used on the right field scoreboard.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Gwreck wrote:They updated the graphics/layouts used on the right field scoreboard.yeah, got updated stats, spray charts, inning recap, etc. I didn't get the Buffalo Dog because the place was packed and I was tired of lines, but I had it last week at the tasting and it's amazing. very tasty.
Chad ochoseis Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 -> Caught the tail end of metfairy's tailgate, which gave me enough time to scarf down a chicken soft taco and help D-Dad a little bit with the cleanup-> Was really pissed off that Jason Bay was mostly booed during the opening intros. He hasn't made a freaking out yet in 2012, people. Also, the man is unquestionably hustling and doing his best out there.-> Santana looked fantastic until he didn't.-> Ike saw a lot of breaking balls.-> Was good to see metfairy, D-Dad, Kase, and Fafif (if only briefly).
