It'll be Michael Almonte. It's always Michael Almonte.

I'd flip Tejada/Thole in that projected lineup just for Lefty/Righty reasons.

It's good that you're excited, and I really don't want to harsh anybody's buzz, but at this point, the thought of the Mets 2012 season just makes me feel weary.

And I've never felt that way in January before!

And longtime friend of the Mets!

What's not the be excited about? Johan Santana may be pitching. David Wright is still here. Davis and Duda may hit the Pepsi Porch so much that Pepsi calls up the Mets and asks them to talk to Coke.

wow, calling dibs a bit early, I see :-). It's kinda like the shotgun rule, you call shotgun to early, it doesn't really mean you're going to get shotgun. I wonder if someone will actually remember this thread when 4/5 rolls along, or if we'll have a new IGT sometime in April.

If past seasons are any guide, I'm a shameless shotgun grubber.

If past seasons are any guide, this thread will be 15 pages long when 4/5 rolls around.

Cheapass Wilpons will likely limit the runup to 9 or 10 pages at most.

"Who's Torres?"
--Initial instinctive reaction upon seeing those lineups.

Fans need Spring Training, too.

Jurrjens might edge out Hanson for the opening day start, but Hanson seems to have the best seat now, and swapping him in there would be easiest on the typesetters union.

Larry is on the DL and will miss the series.
I wish he had invited Uggla to join him.

Anyone want me to search out/photograph/graffiti anything at Citi tomorrow?

My first beer (inside) is going to be the new Blue Point White IPA.

Yeah, if you could click a shot when Murphy lines one off Hanson's cranium for a two-run double that would be great.
