Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 1, 2011 Posted June 1, 2011 Let me show you how it's done, you amateurs. We have Paul Maholm taking on a wickedly angry Mike Pelfrey. Drink? It'll flow. Blood? It'll spill.Bienvenidos, Jose.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I smell victory. Or french toast sticks. They smell identical to me.
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 MetsReyes, SS8 other guys. (Reyes-SS, Turner-3B, Beltran-RF, Bay-LF, Pagan-CF, Paulino-C, Evans-1B, Tejada-2B, Pelfrey-RHP)
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 A split with the Pirates would be nice. Losing 3 of 4 to the Bucs just looks bad...even if they are a pretty comparable team to the Mets record-wise.The winning streak starts NOW!

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Play this gay-dame for the honor of Bar Rafaeli.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Pirates at it again with the dink n' dunk 1-0
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Look what you did. I came here to go nuts after that lousy call and 2 hits but Bar Rafeli distracted me and I'm fine now. Thanks.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Twitter exchangeHaleMarkWindy day here. Tons of debris already in left field. #metsDavidWaldstein You referring to the $66 M left fielder?
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Christ...16 minutes later, it's 3-0 Bucs.Bloop...bloop...bloop.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 It'll be funny soon how every ball for the Pirates falls in......fucks sake
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Way to step-up Pelfrey. A little bad luck and adversity and he crumbles. He was talked about as trade bait but who would want him?
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Lets see if the Mets show "quit" today if this gets out of hand.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I think Willets is there today with his son, what do you tell the kid about this debacle of a squad?

The only problem is the lack of money means they don't have much depth; if any of their good young outfielders or talented young pitchers get hurt, there's nobody there to replace them. By the time he's coming into his own as a fan, he'll be proud to wear the hat to school.(Oh, wait. You mean the Mets. Nah, they're hopeless.)
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Ronny Paulino makes me long for Henry Blanco.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Holy hell, 6-zip already.Big Pelf back to Bad Pelf. We absolutely suck at home.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 At least they won't have a seventh-inning lead to blow.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 I hate when I forget that the Mets are playing, and then get that sudden happy realization that there's a game on, and by the time I check in the Mets are down 6-0 in the second inning.I hate that!

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 Boom-Boom goes Beltran to cut the lead almost in half. 7-3 Bucs.

It basically means he's just not seeing/hitting the inside pitches, particularly the balls up in the zone that he used to absolutely crush.
