Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Hey, look! More runs. Jose with a two-run single in the bottom of the fourth. 4-2 Mets.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 For what it's worth, "Nasty Factor" seems to love De La Rosa's offspeed offerings more than the umps do.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Yeah, I'm not sure what the Nasty Factor is all about.I've read MLB.com's explanation and I still don't get it as a practical application.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Is Tulowitzki the new Chipper Jones?
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 We shouldn't be pitching to Tulo anymore.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Emaus bobbles the gift double play grounder, this team just cant get rolling
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 I really don't care if the next time he's up the bases are loaded, the next pitch to Tulowitzki needs to be in his ribs.

TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Ugh...this team is REALLY not very good. This could be a long season.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 the obligatory 3-run homer is surrendered. Holy shot are we sorry
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 Thanks for Emaus, JP.The good news is that F. Rodriguez won't finish 55 games this way.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 The only reason to bring in Parnell would be to keep Frankie from finishing the game....
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 With the success the Mets have had at Turner Field what better place to go and right the ship?Fucking dismal.

metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 On the problems scale regarding this team K-Rod is way down there for me .Fucking dismal.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 What's the top of it?Mine is the notion that we need Pelfrey to be a good pitcher and he may not even be a pitcher. Like we're trying to convince ourselves something that just can't be realized as true. He's my key Met for 2011 and he's a broke key.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2011 Posted April 14, 2011 On top right now at this minute is the defense , at the very least even when a team is not doing much else you expect them to be able to catch the ball. If I thought anything under Collins would be up to snuff then it would have been the defense.

But if he chews up $17.5 million worth of payroll in 2012, it will negatively impact the roster.I think the Mets will find some way to avoid being on the hook for that money. I still like the option, if all else fails, of releasing him after game 54.

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 15, 2011 Posted April 15, 2011 The thing about the Roxx is that they've seemingly been a second-half team the last five years. Starting off hot this year can really work for them. They've got the defending world champs in their division but an early lead can pad their confidence. Are they wearing patches for Keli McGregor or was that last year?
