This really clears up any confusion as to what it is

ib-tip syndrome
Neurology Intercostal neuralgia accompanied by sharp episodic pain at the costal margin, caused by hypermotility of the anterior end of the costal cartilage ofusually the 10th rib due to trauma.

Pitchers and catchers official reporting date at Port St Lucie is Wednesday. I am so ready.

Tomorrow? Why are the Mets saying tomorrow and other people saying Wednesday? Don't I trust the Mets date over WFANs?

I think Tuesday is reporting day for P&C, Wednesday is first workout.

Of course reporting day is today for the Yanx which proves they're more intent on winning.

Looks more like Turner than Emaus.

Between the video and the picture I Google-found, there's, like, 6 or 7 potential nicknames coming to mind. None of them are flattering.

I understand how you feel. The Super Bowl was broadcast on Fox this year, so I didn't believe the final score until I verified it on another station.

Sounds like a similar condition to the one which has apparently afflicted Lady Gaga's shoulder.
Either that or she's recently been the victim of some bizarre industrial accident.

Headline of the Day here.

Stoner happy with progress

Was he simply pleased to fall off the couch and find half a bag of Cheetos on the floor?

Blaine Boyer and some guy with an 8 (38? Chris Capuano?) talk to the boss, Sandy Koufax.

btw, anyone going down to Florida this spring?

We're doing Orlando the last week of March, including a Tuesday Mets @ Nationals game in Melbourne. Not driving all the way down to Port St Lucie.

Smart of you. We're flying into Orlando the 15th, for Harry Potter World the 16th. I'm told that's the week Florida kids are off from school, so it's gonna be a little crowded I would suspect.

Jason Bay predicts he'll hit 30 HR's this season.

He said 30 is his goal every year, and while acknowledging that the sprawling dimensions of Citi Field will make it more difficult, Bay isn't conceding anything.

"It can be done," he said.

He'll probably have to hit 20 on the road. No small feat. I'm surprised that the players are allowed to acknowledge CF's outfield sprawl.

does it matter that, in the past two years, the mets as a team have hit one more home run at home than on the road? +3 in 09, -2 in '10

granted, the pitching is just plain wonky. +4 in 09, -41(!) in '10

it can be done.
