Because Centerfield doesn't know him and neither do most of the rest of us.

10. D.J. Carrasco is a native of Safford, known as a great spot for observatories. They even keep the street lights low.

9. D.J. Carrasco was a three-game disaster in Japan for the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks. But what's three games?

8. D.J. Carraso tends to wear his sox high.

Though not always:

But he's even --- Lord have mercy --- gone to the stirrups.

7. D.J. Carrasco endorses Cell-Nique. It makes him feel so good, he forgets he's pitching for the Pirates.

6. D.J. Carrasco is willing to tell his story to wannabe journos.

5. D.J. Carrasco has a name that rhymes with Tony Tarasco, for you songsmiths.

4. D.J. Carrasco prings you a thirty foot wave of old school deep trance mixed with microhaus.

3. D.J. Carrasco brings it sidearm, yo.

Actually uses various arm angles between 9:00 and 10:30.

2. D.J. comes with a side of Ronny Paulino.

1. D.J. Carrasco was the first MLB-level free agent signing by Sandy Alderson.

Not a wannabe journo but a scout for 5 teams. DJ's pronunciation and accent sounds exactly like our friend who grew up in Texas with Spanish-speaking parents.

I'm glad the Rule 5 worked for him and all, but he's gotta get some more bend in that cap.

No doubt that Coach knows baseball, but he's still figuring out the interview game.

DJ Carrasco is .... a righthander.
For some reason, when he was signed, I thought he was a lefthander.

Well, we have a new equipment manager. No better time to start lobbying.

It would be informative to know his style/routine in the minors , will he have the cache to run it as he sees it?

Stirrup/no stirrup... show us your socks.

(An orange/white stripe or two would be nice.)

Perhaps it's a family name, and "D.J" sets him apart from Dad/Grandpa/Aunt Daniel.

I so want him to throw his warmup pitches with this playing on the PA.

Hey, who is the new equipment manager anyway? And where is he on the Steiner-Simpson scale of memorabilia corruption?
