Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Terry Mullholland, who seemed to pitch for every team but the Mets.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Yes.The remaining two pitchers both have the same given name. They were also both Phillies, Mariners, and Astros.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Charlie Hudson? Mike Maddux?
Guest Number 6 Guests Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) Jose Canseco.OE: Whoops, looks like position players were done. Plus, I missed that the player had to actually oppose the Mets in 1986. Blah. Edited November 2, 2010 by Guest

Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Boy, did he fly under the radar for a long time. I can't tell you one useful fact about Mike Jackson other than he once pitched for the Phils and usually (though I'm not sure exclusively) in relief. Maybe he was a Red too. Probably. Can't tell you what arm he threw with, what number he wore. I think he's white but maybe not.Give me ten years and no encyclopediae, I don't come up with his name.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Here is a picture of him with the Phillies:

Jackson popped in because of the King of Pop, and then I thought, "hey wait, the pitcher!"Never would have thought of him otherwise.

Longtime Phillie, but not exclusively. I think he was also a Mariner for a good period. Black. Don't recall L or R... Did he wear No. 13 or is that my imagination?
Guest Number 6 Guests Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 I think of him as an Astro which, apparently, he only was for 1 season.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted November 2, 2010 Posted November 2, 2010 Yes on the Mariners, and a righty.I remember him closing a little, or at least enough to grab double-digit saves once or twice-- he served as the de facto closer on a few imaginary baseball-card teams I redrafted in one of my imaginary leagues one summer (with the '88 Topps set?).
