The Giants are really taking it to Lee here. Very impressed.

According to Fox Sports, Cliff Lee "chews up bats." Like Ozzy Osbourne?

One of the two dinguses, McCarver I think, felt the need to refer to Lee as the "right handed Mariano Rivera" for all of the bats he breaks.

And so it goes. McCarver and Buck are the left and right nuts straddling the cock of bad announcing.

The Giants knock Lee out of the box in the 5th - 5-2 SF.

Yeow!

That's 7 earnies for Lee in 4.2!

Rout is on.

both for rhyming reasons and because it was a hit as Uribe was earning a World Series ring with the 2005 White Sox.

YES! It only took them until the 5th inning to mention that Elvis Andrus patterned himself after.................Derek Jeter.

They just can't stay away.

There's got to be some drinking games or pools going on based on whether Jeter gets mentioned in each of the games of this series.

Only 6 earned actually. One of the 3rd inning runs was UE due to that Young error which started the 3rd.

And now the Rangers are fighting back with a bunch of 2-out runs of their own.
Lee doesn't survive the 5th and Lincecum gets yanked before finishing the 6th

This Ranger rally came outta nowhere. I'm kinda hoping for Andrus to pop one out here.

Thanks, I forgot the Knicks season started tonight.

I have never heard of John Legend. Is that his real last name?

No, Wikipedia says it's a stage name.

Apparently he figured that: John Greatest Guy in the Whole Fucking World was far too long for marquees so he went with Legend instead.

Will Smith played him in the movies.

I'm calling 5 mentions if it goes 7 games.

Fuck, Cablevision, Fox, Selig, the World Series and baseball. I could care less.

Football blows baseball away.

Anybody else feel a little sorry for Vlad in RF? he used to be one of the best in the game, but he's pretty awful out there now.

He was never one of the best outfielders in the game... he was a great right-fielder the way Francoeur was/is-- all arm. This is just about as good as he was, plus several years of rust.

Yeah, I always thought Vlad's defensive rep was overblown.
He obviously wasn't THIS bad in his prime but was a mediocre fielder at best with a great arm and even that arm was scattershot. Capable of the outrageous throw but also used a lot of air-mail stamps.
Frenchy is/was better .... defensively that is.

The atdhe.net feed was good for me. Watched until the 5th. Then it was the radio and bed for me.

Am I to understand that the feed was taken down at some point?

Posted

Didn't get to watch this thanks to Rupe and Jimmy but once again it was a pleasure to listen to Dave Flemming and Duane Kuiper.

The Brian Wilson material keeps pouring in.

JIM ROME: "The orange spikes. You got fined a thousand bucks... for orange spikes. What was the fine for?"

WILSON: (Scoffs) "Too much awesome on my feet."

I've changed my mind on this guy.....used to think he was a douchebag....throughout the playoffs I've gotten to like him and this is just funny.
