Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 The Giants are really taking it to Lee here. Very impressed.

Like Ozzy Osbourne? One of the two dinguses, McCarver I think, felt the need to refer to Lee as the "right handed Mariano Rivera" for all of the bats he breaks. And so it goes. McCarver and Buck are the left and right nuts straddling the cock of bad announcing.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 The Giants knock Lee out of the box in the 5th - 5-2 SF.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Yeow! That's 7 earnies for Lee in 4.2!Rout is on.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 both for rhyming reasons and because it was a hit as Uribe was earning a World Series ring with the 2005 White Sox.

One of the 3rd inning runs was UE due to that Young error which started the 3rd.And now the Rangers are fighting back with a bunch of 2-out runs of their own.Lee doesn't survive the 5th and Lincecum gets yanked before finishing the 6th
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 This Ranger rally came outta nowhere. I'm kinda hoping for Andrus to pop one out here.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Thanks, I forgot the Knicks season started tonight.I have never heard of John Legend. Is that his real last name? No, Wikipedia says it's a stage name.Apparently he figured that: John Greatest Guy in the Whole Fucking World was far too long for marquees so he went with Legend instead. Will Smith played him in the movies.

Lefty Specialist Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Anybody else feel a little sorry for Vlad in RF? he used to be one of the best in the game, but he's pretty awful out there now.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 Jeez Giants, you're not playing the Phillies or the Yankees. You don't need to be so vengeful.

This is just about as good as he was, plus several years of rust.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 Yeah, I always thought Vlad's defensive rep was overblown. He obviously wasn't THIS bad in his prime but was a mediocre fielder at best with a great arm and even that arm was scattershot. Capable of the outrageous throw but also used a lot of air-mail stamps. Frenchy is/was better .... defensively that is.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 A 7 run lead and the reliever on the mound isn't capable of getting the final out of the inning?!?
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Author Posted October 27, 2010 I guess San Francisco needed all those runs after all.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 18 runs, 25 hits...Sandy Alderson owes us an apology.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted October 27, 2010 Posted October 27, 2010 I guess All-Star pitchers can only get out All-Star hitters.Later
HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 The atdhe.net feed was good for me. Watched until the 5th. Then it was the radio and bed for me.Am I to understand that the feed was taken down at some point?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2010 Posted October 28, 2010 Didn't get to watch this thanks to Rupe and Jimmy but once again it was a pleasure to listen to Dave Flemming and Duane Kuiper.
