Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 The end of the season is near. We have a small window to create a grassroots movement to bring back Bobby V. Somehow we have to get this message out there. I'm open to ideas.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 If they don't go get Bobby, It's not a $$ issue that's stopping them, right?Cause if they were willing to go for Torre then they were willing to spend the money.During all that Torre talk I heard nothing from the Mets indicating that they were not interested in him.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 Or that they were.We have seen nothing that indicates they were willing to pay Joe Torre.

It's almost like they only bring up the money story if it doesn't conflict with other stories they want to write.

For like months. I'd hardly conclude that they're interested in him because his names's been floated and they haven't stooped to deny interest. Netiher have they denied interest in Wally Backman, Bob Melvin, or Winona Ryder.

HahnSolo Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2010 Posted September 27, 2010 I assume he meant without ever winning a division title. Leyland, Bochy, and Dusty all have done so.
