G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2010 Posted September 24, 2010 At 75-78, the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim are officially eliminated. They now ascend to wherever teams not in the playoffs go.And at 76-77, our scaly neighbors to the south have taken a dive.Florida Marlins, turn in your teal crap and report directly to the offseason.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2010 Posted September 25, 2010 Oakland A's: 77-77 -- and dead.Dear Texas: Get swingin' against the MFYs if/when you see them.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2010 Posted September 28, 2010 (edited) One final peripheral team tumbles downhill, at 83-74...Rocktober denied, despite a sensational Rocktember. All that's left are contenders. As they used to say in the NBA, three to make two. Edited September 28, 2010 by Guest
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 Adios Padres. Despite finishing 90-72, the SD stands for..Sad Day.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted October 3, 2010 Posted October 3, 2010 All I can say about 2010 Mets baseball is thank god its over.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 94-68, a divisional crown and, three games later......Twins Territory is in this thread with the rest of the no longer playings.Same could be said for the other Central flag-bearer, your 91-71/0-3 Cincinnati Reds. That's the way the ball bounces, Southern Ohio.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 So the Cincy fans waited 15 years for a playoff appearance, and that sad-ass performance is all they got? Yikes.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 I was thinking the same thing. I remember thinking how awful it would be if the Mets were to have been swept away by Arizona in 1999.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 11, 2010 Posted October 11, 2010 ... while scoring a total of 4 runs (3 earned) over 3 games.Hell, they had almost as many errors (7) as they did hits (11)

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 25, 2010 Posted October 25, 2010 I must say that I didn't much attention to the playoffs this season. That is, until the Yankees and Phillies, were on the verge of elimination. The playoffs suddenly became more interesting and enjoyable as the the two World Series participants from last year were being finished off. Now I can enjoy the World Series with the simple hope of a well played and exciting series.
