Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Hopefully one of these will work. The Baseball Card Blog has a great YouTube of Telly, sporting his sweet blue Mets cap -- pre-orange button -- and sorting his baseball cards when Ron Darling appears, strolling around Sesame Street in his home uniform.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I like Telly. He doesn't really have a hook to him. I mean, yeah, he's a monster, but so is Cookie and Grover and probably a half dozen others. He's just got a personality that's a little different that he doesn't have to work to hard to sell. He's like the Rowlf of Sesame Street.I bet Ron Darling loves to read the back of his baseball cards to people.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Telly was originally obsessed with television (hence the name) but that characteristic didn't prove as interesting/educational as being obsessed with cookies or counting. He eventually phased into being a generally anxious monster.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 I thought Telly's gimmick was that he had a guy's hand up his ass.Oh wait. That was Piazza's gimmick. NTTAWWT.

Guest The Second Spitter Guests Posted July 30, 2010 Posted July 30, 2010 Hahahahahaha! That was hilarious...(I find it disturbing that I am so easily amused by skits directed at 8 year olds)
