ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 No Dickey will not stay in. He was pitching too well for Jerry.Dickey fought hard. Fuck the Mets.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 very interesting scene here.Jerry comes back out, to remove R.A.Dicky vehemently argues to stay in.With anyone within ear shot, it looks. But Jerry takes the hook stick out of his back pocket and Dickey is off to the showers.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I think Dickey tried to get the umpire to tell Jerry the talk was over and send him back to the dugout!fire jerry.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Not predicting it, but really who would be surprised if Jerry getsaxed in Cali before they get on the plane.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I know it's en vogue to blame Jerry and bunting, but the booth reminds us that Mets are batting like .133 in the last 16 games if I heard correctly. Too tired and lazy to verify.

Guest Kong76 Guests Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Jason Bay will hit better with a new manager!!!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I like Ike (momentarily)
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 It's the lack of walks that kills me.Don't ask me to 'splain it, but I think Jason Bay would hit better with a new manager. Delgado did.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Nice Thole.I'm always loving your scrappy at-bats but you swing at the first pitch here and hit into an inning ending DP.I really like what I see from Thole though, more than not.I like what I see behind the plate as well as his at-bats.But, for the moment, shame on you son!

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 I have no problem with the Dickey removal. He limped on the play to first; this makes sense as a precaution. (I should say, I have no problem with it until the eventual throwing of Dickey under the bus, postgame.)IN current news: We have a double-switch, and this double-switch... I like this double-switch.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 (edited) I'm OK with Dickey's removal, too. Maybe Dickey argued vehemently to stay in because he already sensed his game was over. Dickey's become a valuable commodity and it's worth exercising a little bit of caution to protect his health at the expense of what was likely to be, no more than another extra inning and half of pitching from Dickey. Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Totally agree about da Dick.He was a lil wobbly on the ground ball following the first visit, and we sure as hell can't afford him going down for any length of time.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 You guys know me.I never say uncle.I don't give up.I try and stay positive and root for positive things to happen. But I've already written this game off.And that's pretty sad...Aw hell,I'll still root..LETS
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted July 25, 2010 Posted July 25, 2010 Oy, Beltran doesn't play the ball off the wall and just like that it's 0-1.Carp on a carpsicle.
