What do you know about Alex Anthony? Do you share a mechanic with him? Were his parents Van Halen fans? Is shaking his hand better than sex?

Alex needs you to add to his wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alex_anthony

I'd like to shake her hand, Jerry Grote style.

Yes, and the Dr. squeezed the tongs too hard at birth.

Are the PA folks from other teams this goofy looking?

I assume they are. This guy's got a face that's born for radio.

I grew up down the street from Alex in Garden City. He is of Greek origin, and his father was a furrier. Childhood nickname was "Zook" - a derivative of his real last name. He was a very good baseball player - I believe he played for Hofstra. No surprise that he became an announcer, he was well known for providing play by play of our pickup stickball and softball games. I have not seen or spoken with him in years, and would never have recognized him from that photo. He was a good kid, but not well liked by my parents after he turned 17 because he always drove too fast down the street in his flashy Lincoln.

Awesome. You two should catch up, and casually get Amanda's digits in the meantime.

This thread is the source for the wikipedia article.

Therefore I declare that Alex Anthony came from Alpha Centauri in 1924 in cyborg form, fought the Nazis during WWII, was responsible for designing the Edsel, and has a collection of belly button lint from all the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue cover models.

Don't forget his technical input on ENIAC, writing and arranging the international club hit "Boom Boom Boom Boom" for Vengaboys, and his pioneering work on the vaginal cotton gin (Megan Fox dutifully tips her hat to you, sir).
