Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 8 innings, the last 13 retired without incident. I'm gaga for Dickey, too.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2010 Author Posted June 23, 2010 I like Ike and increasingly like Ruben Tejada.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 No reason for Dickey not to finish this game.

Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Rather abbreviated IGT for what turned out was a nice Mets win. Far too much of the YLDB, GaGa in this thread.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 How was Seinfeld in the booth?[/quote:mpcxyzpu]Was very enjoyable, tho not as funny as I was expecting. He wanted to talk baseball and did his brand of play by play, very enjoyable. He didn't really wanna talk that much about Seinfeld tho he did give the KH ep quite a bit of time (clips were shown as leadins after breaks). On the whole, not hilarious but totally enjoyable with some real nice laughs.

I wished they had cut to a shot of the booth, because I can't decide whether Keith would have been laughing or fuming.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I liked Jerry's (Seinfeld, not Manuel) point about the monotony of commercials during baseball telecasts. "Can we get a few more sponsors?" It's been like that for as long as I can remember. The same three or four damn commercials, again and again and again.Giuseppe Franco. Derek Jeter's Edge. I remember years ago, my sister and I both were able to recite along with the Garcia y Vega cigar commercials because we saw them again and again.
