Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I don't think I've ever started one of these.Just thinking about starting one makes me nervous.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 And Niese is down with a hammie..Almost a replay of last year but without the collapse on the mound. This looks like a long stay on the DL Hell, maybe Ollie just got his job back
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 So let's review here:We're down three-zip here largely because we've lined into two different DPs after getting the lead-off runners on, while they've got three runners in & two on w/no outs all despite getting only one ball out of the infield, bunting poorly twice and missing a base.Oh yeah, and we're down two starters in the last three days.Murphy may be down in rehab all season but he left his law here.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Hell, maybe Ollie just got his job back[/quote:1ocxa5xj]Ollie, we're sorry we demoted ya. To make it up to you, can you pleasestart against the Yankees next Friday night? Thanks.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 That was a thing of beauty 5-0 fishI am now seriously wondering if Jerry makes it back to NY tonight
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I can't see or hear the game where I'm at today.I don't know if I should thank you guys for the info or curse yaz all to hell.Okay, I won't take it out on u guys. Thx 4 the info...Damn. We may have to change that to "Omars Law"...
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 This the nadir of the season to date
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Any word on Niese for those of us not near a TV?
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I kinda want Ollie starting next Friday against the Yankees. He's pitched better against the Yankees than literally almost every other major league team: 5-1, 2.61 in six starts.

Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Really kind of the team to try working all their suck out over the weekend before I trek out to the Ted to see them Monday night.
A Boy Named Seo Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Any word on Niese for those of us not near a TV?[/quote:2wkfrqsy]He tweaked something in his leg fielding a bunt. He threw 1 pitch after that and immediately motioned for the coaches & trainers to come out and then gingerly walked off the field. Looked like he was grabbing the high hammy under his right ass cheek, IIRC.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Hey, at least we followed that disaster up by going down 1-2-3 on 8 pitches. But on the bright side, Wright won't have anyone on base when he strikes out to lead off next inning.

Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Cora! Cora! Cora! 7-6, Alex on 2nd after a huuuuuge 2-run double, Bay and Animal due.
Guest Swan Swan H Guests Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Frenchy pops up for Carter in an entirely unnecessary lefty-righty move, and ends yet another rally. One run game now boys, time to pull up yer sox.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Say! Carter's doing all right, isn't he? Why, yes! Bay might have struck out, but this Animal's got a good shot of doing something he-- Oh, a they're bringing in a lefty, you say? GIVE ME THE ICE-COLD RIGHTY!And fucking fantastic-- SARGE stays in right.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 They are just teasin us, aren't they?Stringin us along.I few innings ago I had no hope and I felt better.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Phwam!I thought Ross and Coughlin were going to start swappin' spit there.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Well it's official, it's all MY fault.I got disgusted when it was 6-0 a while back and left.Came back after about an hour - figuring the game was probably already over - only to discover it was 7-6.Seconds later came the 3R HR.I should be put on an ice floe and shoved out to sea ... at least for a week or so.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 I am happy to see GMJ participate in this game in a helpful way.I hope it doesn't add more days until the time he is DFA'd.
