seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Really wanted Carter to pick up a ribbie there, so we could look back at the Wagner trade thread and laugh at how much we hated this guy at the time.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Tough crowd....HEY K-Rod in in a tie game in the 9th!Amazazing!
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Maybe the reason you shouldn't bring Frankie into tie games is because he's sucky now.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Who the eff is Roger Bernadina?Edit: And why does he hate us? It'd be 7-3 Mets if not for that d-bag.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Steve J Roger Fucking Bernadina
Diamond Dad Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 You have GOT to be F'in kidding me!
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 When we win this in the bottom of the ninth, Frankie's going to get ANOTHER vulture win!
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 You mean Roger "Willie Harris" Bernadina.

Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I posit that there is no Willie Harris... not as we know him, anyway. I posit that the entity that we know as "Willie F. Harris" is actually more of a astral presence than an actual corporeal being. One that goes by many names-- Scratch, Azazel, Yadier-- and has worn many forms throughout its time here on earth, but one that does not age and otherwise remains constant in its malevolence and ability to make game-ending shoestring catches/throw shutouts with little-to-no-ability or major-league experience/hit tape-measure home runs off overpriced, histrionic closers. Congrats on being its new host, human-formerly-known-as-Roger-Bernadina.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Well, if you're going to spend the series giving up multiple HRs to non-HR hitters, multiple RBI hits to pitchers, and issuing walks to non-walkers (like Guzman) all over the place then you're going to lose the series more often than not.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 I move that the third and deciding game of all future series not be referred to as "condom" games in the IGT title.

Or just plain sucking with the bat.

ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2010 Author Posted May 12, 2010 oh well..mediocre Mets, mediocre results
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Willie Harris, Justin Maxwell, Roger Bernadina: the Mets make mediocre Nationals look good.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 Video of the Bernadina catch here.2 parts awesome, 1 part throw-up-in-mouth.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 A few clips down from that is the game-ending play at the plate in the O's game. Like a breakaway in hockey, just dials up the heartbeat.Gary Thorne's yelling makes it special too.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted May 13, 2010 Posted May 13, 2010 He's probably out anyway, but I'm not sure I approve of Wilson's hook slide there.http://baltimore.orioles.mlb.com/video/play.jsp?content_id=7997563&c_id=bal&topic_id=8879234
