bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 No warning from blue. Curious.[/quote:3s1dj79w]F U Romero, you juiced up freak. Delgado's gone. You have no purpose any longer.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Here's today's Daily News back page preview to tonight's game. Who's the second Met?Pelfrey, _______________, Reyes, Santana
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 That's no Bill Gallo.I'm guessing Reyes on the stick, Wright on the sousaphone, Santana on bone, and Bay on bass drum.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Not David. I think it might be Pagan.Weird because all the other three are very obvious.

Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 It's Wright. That's even a pretty good caricature.
Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I believe it's been a while since I've had more fun watching a ballgame.I believe I will bite my tongue around Phils friends for the moment.By Thanagar, I believe in Ashie.
ashie62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Author Posted April 30, 2010 The best revenge is living well unless we are talking about serving the Phillies a ghetto asswhupping.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Driving home, listening to the post game Buffalo show, and the guy said that Frenchy was taken out of the Mets game "because of an injury". Then I get home and see the Mets box score and see he was replaced by GMJ and cringe. What happened? How serious was it?Was this just a one game thing? Some good news, please! No, I do not want to be the Buffalo correspondent. The radio station only comes in on my car radio, and only occasionally.Later
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 He banged his knee into the wall making a tough catch. X-rays negative. Survey says Jerry sits him tomorrow but he'll be fine.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I thought the X-Ray was for the pitch he took off his left forearm.Either way there's nothing broken. Probably a 'see how he feels in the morning' deal before deciding if he'll play tomorrow.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 I spent half the day thinking that was Pagan in that illustration, but I'm now convinced it was Wright. That illustration, incidentally, sold the News an extra paper today. Winning might even save the print media.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Thank you both for the quick responses.Either way, I can now exhale. Later
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 The only thing negative about Francoeur is his X-ray. Just the way we like it.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 Great game, great IGT, helluva winning streak we've got cooking. Let Frenchy sit tomorrow against Amish Roy, it's all good.I credit Ashie, again.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 30, 2010 Posted April 30, 2010 It's all we really wanna do Here's David Wright's homer -
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 1, 2010 Posted May 1, 2010 One of the good things (and there were many) about last night is that Barajas isn't exactly the most popular guy amongst the Philly phaithful. His crime, apparently, stems mostly from the fact that he hit like a backup catcher while serving as a backup catcher there in 2007. There's also some story about a passed ball or failure to backup something which led to an extended inning which in turn led to a Brett Myers injury - I didn't quite get all the details. Of course the fact that I happen to be one of those who feel that a Brett Myers injury coupled with Philly angst is the definition of a win-win means that Rod just went up another few notches in my eyes.
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
