Standing in my office right now, trying to give a really subtle one-man-ovation.

When the 10 game homestand began, I said that I would like 6 and 4 but 7 and 3 would be great. No... this is great. YIPPEE!

One minute you're reading this:

And the next it's already out of date. No wonder newspapers are in trouble.

It must be hard to be subtle with the keyboard in your hands and you typing.

You so lit'ral.

Listening to DietCokey for the first time in a bit.

Francesa is sounding discombobulated and anxious, attempting to sound happy while praising the Mets in one breath, then getting snippy with callers who aren't parroting him. It's hilarious.

Does he still take the label of the bottle?, like we don't know what it is Fatty, you drink like twenty bottles a show.

Sounds tense enough to be doing so. The Met fan callers sound screened especially for idiocy (wondering aloud about potential Beltran-for-pitching trades, blathering about Ike "inspiring" the team with his professionalism).

But anyway... I believe in tidiness... and Ashie.

Don't have anything to add game wise ... it was fun to meet
and spend some game time with Fman and Spideyboy today!

Agreed, KC is good Met-watchin company, as is Fboy. Aside from the weather, which was nasty, very little to complain about out there today.

Can we add that Catalanotto needs a schoolin'? What the devil?

I think honestly that he was just cold and running in to get off the field. Can't say I blame him.

Lessons learned from yesterday's tilt.

1. On a windy day, it gets windy at Citi Field. We were getting pushed across the outfield area out by Shake Shack by the wind. I think next year I will wait until summer before we make this journey.

2. Getting there at 11 AM helps get a kid to the front of the tee ball line, and a 2 minute wait for a Shack burger for his dad (MAN those are tasty), and plenty of quality time with Mr. Met himself. And an unobstructed view of the good Mets HOF stuff.

3. The Mets HOF is bad ass. So much cool stuff in there.

4. Kong76 is a big dude. Not fat, just big. Tall. You tend to think of the online only types as being of a certain physical stature but I was like, Whoa. Don't mess with Kase.

5. If your child is wearing a Spiderman winter hat in New York City, the locals like this. LOTS of people, both Citi Field employees and attendees, pointing out "Hey, Spiderman's here!" and "Wow, I feel safer now knowing he's at the park." Fboy ate this all up, too.

6. Ten hours in the car for five hours in the park isn't a trade I'd make every week, but once or twice a year it's all good. Taking the Whitestone out of Queens and beating the traffic helped immensely, I was home at 9:25 instead of 11:30 like last year.

7. When you ask your five year old son, at the end of a REAL long day, what his favorite part was, and he says "Watching the Mets win the game," you know you got your money's worth.

I took a video a couple of weeks ago of the wind trying to knock my cup out of the cupholder.

Was it the most beautiful thing you had ever seen? Did it feel so beautiful that you couldn't take it, like your heart was going to cave in?

If by cave in you mean freeze and explode, yes.

And yes, it was the msot beautiful thing I'd ever seen. Of course, then Wright made a terrific play running 90 feet to snag a Adam Dunn popup with Pelfrey looking on and I changed my mind.
