Jeez, we probably should up by 12 or 13[/quote:2y2hrxhk]

That wild pitch was big. I was not looking forward to another wasted bases loaded opportunity.
Seven hits, five walks, one error, and two wild pitches, and they have five runs. For this team, that's efficient.

Um, hello? Dude hit two grand slams in one INNING once. That could happen again, you know.[/quote:1fqyo2vz]
Hopefully during the Subway Series against Chan Ho Park.

You think Chan Ho will still be on that roster by the Subway Series?

We have a solid first-base prospect in Buffalo, we have an aging sort-of propsect who tore up spring training also at Buffalo, and Fernando Tatis is on this roster why?[/quote:2bel7bji]

I spent seventh and eighth grade thinking that a weekend on Paradise Island with Linda Carter could happen. Then I became deeply cynical.

I see they got Pelf on a balk. Please tell me it wasn;t one of those "falling off the mound" balks.

Shouldn't the question be whether I think Fernando Tatis will still be on the roster by the Subway Series?

Gravity is hard.

No "first balk" in the Met Firsts rundown, right? Figures.

Tatis isn't the one hlding down Carter's spot. Jacobs is.

Worse.
He was in mid-windup when the batter started to step out. The ump wasn't granting him time but when Pelfrey saw him backing out he stopped his motion as though time had been called.

Pelf tells Ian O'Connor: "Get inside my head, you Yankee-lovin' fool!"

Heard Howie on the radio saying that no matter the score, Frankie Rodriguez is likely to pitch today, because he hasn't pitched since Sunday and he needs regular work.

Grrrrr....

He should have been pitching yesterday!

PedroDos gets his PedroDoble, and we're out of the 8th.

Normal costs aside, when all's said and done, Met-career-wise, what's to stop a fella from buying a Pedro Feliciano jersey?

if he keeps on having this:

maybe they won't want him in that locker room...

otherwise, he's been pitching pretty well.

cuz they usually don't buy a jersey of a middle reliever. closer, maybe. not a middle reliever....

What's that? Losing streak over? First successful IGT in nearly a week?

Clutch performance by Pelf. Very impressive. On the post-game, Castillo told Ed that before the season, he told Pelfrey that if he won 15 games, he would buy him a watch. 2 down, 13 to go. Howie laughed and said that this was a great marketing opportunity for the Mets.

Indecision over whether to kick it old-skool (No. 39) or really old-skool (55) or just be contemporary 25.

This feckin' guy with the numbers. You should write a book.

Dammit.

Just take a deep breath, exhale slowly, and-- if you're getting nervous-- visualize the bases naked.[/quote:17ebvnis]

OK, now I'm erect. Sitting tall in my chair, that's right (you pervs).

Eh, you didn't miss anything -- she snores and she has a giant puffy puss.

Of course, this was five weeks ago. Might have been a different tale in 1977.
