Guest LeiterWagnerFasterStrongr Guests Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 Buffalo may offer wings, but Balto comes correct with stone crab, softshell crab, crab cakes, and several other brands of seafood-y deliciousness that don't involve crab.

Or drive to Port Jeff and taste cake, but that's a pain of a drive too.I live right here by Port Jeff, and I'm pretty sure we don't have any baseball here, unless you count the Ducks, but they're at least a half hour's drive. Plenty of places to find cake, though.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 3, 2010 Posted June 3, 2010 I've been to Baltimore. I've been to Buffalo.Go with the majors, Kid!

Plenty of places to find cake, though.I'm getting married in Miller Place, the 'cake' would be Wedding cake to decide on. and I don't like crab, so the cuisine in Baltimore isn't as appealing. I'd prefer baltimore I think, although competing with Jersey Shore traffic going south doesn't sound overly fun either.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I have an extra ticket for Wednesday in a prime location (front row in the Caesar's Club "Silver" seats) that would otherwise be going unused -- and that I got free -- so it's open for the taking. Send a PM if interested...
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Going Saturday, June 12. Section 52, row 9.

(and the Sunday after at the Sales Pitch in the Bronx) I haven't bought tickets yet, but I see $20 terrace level seats behind home plate on Stub Hub. First time in Camden Yards. Now just have to figure out what to do in Baltimore on Saturday night (I'd go to the game, but alas, I have to compromise)
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 I will also be there on Sunday, not sure where yet?
Ceetar Grand Central Contributor Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 This homestand must feel like a road trip for the Orioles. Red Sox, Yankees, Mets. And the Nats/Strasburg as home during the same time.
Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Thanks to Metsfairy I have two tickets for the July 11th game versus the Braves. Unfortunately, the friend I was going with can't make it so I have ONE ticket available for anyone who wants to watch a Mets game with me from Metsfairy's seats.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted June 23, 2010 Posted June 23, 2010 Anyone who wants to suck on a stiff cock-tail with me prior to pumping up our Dickey can meet me and special guest BatMagsLeadoff at McFadden's in the 6 o'clock hour. Gametime, we're in Pepsi Porch, foul territory, Sec. 305. These were rainout-replacement seats.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Sorry I missed you JCL.Is anyone going to be there Sunday to see the Twinkies?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Yeah, and such an attractive invite too.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 Actually, Fmanish plays on words aside, it sounded like fun.The big problem was that there's no access to McFadden's once you've already entered the park, and I had plans to visit the HOF. It was an either/or kind of thing, unfortunately.
batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I suppose she wasn't sorry to miss me.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 24, 2010 Posted June 24, 2010 I am bats - I didn't realize you were there (I know JCL mentioned you above, but I was more aware of the invite via Facebook).

Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted June 25, 2010 Posted June 25, 2010 Just in case this was overlooked the first time....I have two tickets that metfairy sold me for the Mets-Braves game on July 11th and the friend who was supposed to go with me bailed out.So anyone who is interested in a FREE ticket to watch the Mets & Braves from metfairy's seats and have my charming company please this is your chance. Alternately you can take the ticket and pretend you don't know me. Either way please message me if your interested.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 Y'all haven't been eating them?Seriously - for the most part those aren't my photographs. They're just web searches.

Guest themetfairy Guests Posted June 26, 2010 Posted June 26, 2010 No amount of running could burn off that many calories. But back to going to the game - I'll be there for Sunday's game against the Twinkies. Who else is going?
