Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Welcome back, Carlos. Despite everything the "shut him down" crowd has said, I'm glad you're back for the next few weeks.Hit some homers, make some nice catches, and enjoy some peace of mind this winter.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Great to see Carlos back.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 He's actually back? Seriously? I'm shocked.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Why are you shocked? Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Hey, we're down 2-0, but his Beltran guy is hitting .335!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Kyle Singh. I think he used to post here as Gary Cohen Jr.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Is it Scottish Sikh Night again already?
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Who's the kid in the booth?[/quote:pa8d92dp]Kyle Singh, he won the gig in a contest. I thought he did great , had me laughing .
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Tim Redding thinks it's 5th grader pitches night. What a complete waste this bum has been.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Well it's not like we ever thought he'd have a regular spot in the rotation.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Well it's not like we ever thought he'd have a regular spot in the rotation.[/quote:137nvazl]That's exactly what he was brought in for and exactly what he failed to do in a season where just about everyone was giving him that chance. Fuck Tim Redding.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 i like this silent sixth thing, i think, though it kinda defeats the purpose of having the game on in the background of doing something else - i can no longer not pay attention and still follow along.
metsmarathon Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 and i barely caught the end of the inning, again cos i was hardly paying attention - but nice play there!
Met Hunter Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Lol. It would have been nice to hear Gary's call of that crazy play at home. Give me the emotion over the natural sounds.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I like it too. Gimme words and no picture (radio) or pics and no words. I oftenb watch muted but I like the ambient noise.Pretty fortunate get at the plate. If Thole gathers it in properly the inning continues. But nice play by Elmer.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Love the silent 6th. Very cool.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Creepy Sun Baby prefers the raucous 7th. First and second no out. Let's go Mets!OE: I'm too retarded to post a picture.

Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Author Posted September 8, 2009 A sac bunt there (Pagan's AB) would have been stupid even if it worked!!
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Well, OK, here's what you paid for back in April. Bases loaded, game on the line, Wright and Beltran due to hit.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 That was a shit turn at bat for Wright.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Same old Mets.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 If I could embed something right now, I'd embed something right now.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 I've seen about enough of Redding, but there some lousy execution in that game didn't much help (Frenchie, Wright, especially).
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted September 8, 2009 Posted September 8, 2009 Redding dug his own grave. Runs were from walks and HRs (ie. defense not involved). One more start in the DH on Sunday and then we should just release his ass to save the per diem $$.Wright should've had a second error and Uggla should've had one too when Castillo was given an infield hit.Pagan was already around second on his triple and the crowd was rooting for the inside the parker. Can't believe Razor actually put up the stop sign for once.Dessens was NOT in proper position to back up at the plate and got very lucky.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted September 9, 2009 Posted September 9, 2009 So anyone care to explain Kyle Singh's signature call " going for the sandwich " , instead of calling a strike a strike he would say it's part of the sandwich , I was rolling on the floor laughing at the kid. What gimmicks are in store for tonight's game?
Zach Thornton Syracuse Mets - AAA LHP On Sunday, the southpaw tossed five shutout innings as the bulk pitcher. He gave up 2 hits, walked 2 and had 5 strikeouts. Explore Zach Thornton News >
