Rays homers must be Aubrey Huff.

Sengers-- Pudge for hits, Juan Gone for HRs.

Pirates-- If not Wagner for hits, it's got to be Clemente, no?

Padres-- Winfield for HRs?

Phillies-- Schmidt for hits, too, no?

Senwins-- Puckett for hits?

Angels-- Salmon for HRs.

Trying to get caught up here

* Castillo is your Marlins all-time hits leader. This also solves the 2nd 'current Met' answer

* Kaline for Tigger HRs is correct at 399

* Pudge & Juan Gone are both right for the stRanger record holders

* Cap Anson is your Cubs hits leader

* Speaker & Colavito are both INcorrect

* Raines - No

* Ichiro - No

* Luis Gonzelez - Yes (more than 1/4 of them in one season)

* Aubrey Huff - Very nice. The Rays have both the lowest Hits leader and the lowest HR leader, although Carl Crawford is only a few hits behind Castillo's Marlins record.

* Boudreau, wrong. Thome right

* Edgar Martinez is correct for Seattle hit king

* Puckett is NOT the Twins hits leader ... unless we're counting women (oh no he di'int)

* Schmidt is Phils hit king too

* Windield is wrong, Salmon was already guessed as was Clemente

* Rickey is NOT correct, neither is Canseco

* Nate Colbert (who I think also holds the season record for highest pct of his team's RBIs) is the Padre HR leader (and maybe for a while the way they're going and in that park)

* Nap Lajoie has indeed been the seriously, I just used a racist word when I really meant "Guardians" hit record for the last century or so

I'm answering Miggy for Marlin homers.

Posted

Miggy - no
Stormin' Gorman - No
Aparicio - No
McGwire - Yes, which of course makes Foxx a no

I'm thinking Yount for the Aaron/Schmidt double, as Brew HR king.

Luis Gonzalez, same, D'backs (just for longevity-- who else COULD it be).

Natspos hits-- Dawson?

Posted

Steve Finley for the D-Backs. I say Finley only becasue LFWS asked who else could it be

great thread btw , nice boxes too.

Posted

Yes, both Yount and Luis Gonzalez are their team's double-dippers - to go along with Schmidt, Aaron, Musial, Mays, Helton, Ripken & Brett
That makes Finley a no. Andre Dawson is also a no.
But Mike Lowell is correct as Marlin powerman

Four answers remain:
one goes way back
one is from pre-mid century
one played just past mid century
one is more recent

I've got to put on my Senators thinking cap. Sam F. Rice?

Posted

Sam Rice and his 2,889 hits it is!

White Sox & Athletics hit leaders remain.
One is a living Carribean native, the other a deceased American.
