It'll forever be Juan Berenguer to me, I'm afraid.

Esix Snead comes to mind , liked him, speed to spare but couldn't hit a lick. Great smile , I remember Vic Siegel writing a nice column about him....then nothing

Okay, trivia time...

There have been 34 Mets who debuted on or after September 1, and never again played for the Mets in any subsequent seasons.

The challenge: Name them!

The hints are below, the year and date of their debut.

(Not all of these guys are "call-ups." There are a few who were late-season acquisitions from other teams.)

I'm tolerating this hijack only because it produces the same output that I was going for.

Craig Brazell, September gurl.

Oops! Sorry! Brazell actually debuted on August 17, 2004. Fifteen days later, and he would have qualified.[/quote:3hnkwlgh]

Mike Glavine and Matt Watson, see you in September.

Ricardo Rincon last year , no idea why he got to pitch in some big spots when we had "the show" and Feliciano on the squad...

My Child-of-'86 sense is tingling... Stan Jefferson and trade fodder Rick Anderson are two of those, no?

(Dunno the third.)
