NLDS Game 2: Comes in T9 with 4-1 lead. 3 groundouts.

NLDS Game 3: Comes in B9 with 9-5 lead. K, K, 1B, Flyout.


NLCS Game 1: Comes in T9 with 2-0 lead. Lineout, groundout, walk, popout.

NLCS Game 2: Comes in T9 with game tied. So Taguchi HR; double, ground out, RBI double, RBI single, groundout , lifted from game down 9-6.

NLCS Game 6: Comes in T9 with 4-0 lead. 1B, 2B, GO, FO, 2 RBI double (Taguchi again), groundout.

I can't forget how angry I was that he was even in the game. It stunk of panic in a game the Mets had in hand.

I can't think of anything positive. When he pitched on Friday and looked so good, I was wondering where that was in '07 and '08 and how history could have been different if he was available in at least one of those two Septembers.

The next thing I thought of was him not being able to get on the field in Florida during the home stretch in 2007. For all of that, I mostly enjoyed watching him pitch. In the end he was crap in the 06 postseason, not a great teammate, and ultimately fragile and unreliable. We'd have done just as well signing Braden Looper for his tenure here.
