[Benjamin Grimm]

While researching for my monologue about innings pitched by starting pitchers in 2008, I discovered one intriguing little fact.

Only one pitcher in 2008 pitched a nine-inning complete game against the Mets.

So let's test your memory, and/or how closely you were paying attention.

Who was that pitcher?

Your only hints: It was in a winning effort and it wasn't a shutout.

I feel like it was either a former-Met, or a guy we had been linked to in rumors.

edit: John Lannan, maybe? (I cheated to look at the Nationals roster, but didn't look at game results.)

Ben Sheets (he outdueled Santana in a game in the first homestand of the year)
Bronson Arroyo
Randy Wolf

Arroyo is my guess.

What do I win? I hope it's something really trivial. btw, I only guessed cuzz we had an xtra series with the Rockies this year and Cook always seems to give us trouble. This seems to be the game that I thought should have been Willie's last.
