We gave up on the Community Chest months ago but we really need to do
some fund raising. Faith and Fear has a great shirt. I bought one around
the time when we were selling our first shirt and it's held up nice through
a ton of washes and many questions from strangers of what the heck are
those numbers anyway. I figure we'll use that company for production.

I propose a contest of image submissions in this thread that we could
eventually vote on, say by 2/1 unless we get a knockout, for a forum tee.
The back of the tee would simply have the url like Faith and Fears does in
one color that fits the front color scheme.

Submit a two or three color (max) image and state/show what color the
is/would be and we'll all pick one for fund raising purposes.

Winner gets a 48 baseball card collection of worthless '70s and '80 Mets but
the worthlessness of them is debatable if you post here.

I've always been rather fond of this design.

A special thanks to Diamond Dad for modeling this great design at the CPF 4th of July gathering in Washington, D.C.

I can dig out that CPF logo thing I made a few years ago.
That may have been as little as four colors, or could easily be reduced to that.

I get the impression though, looking at the linked T, that you are looking for something more no frills and simple.

Edge, did I ever give you the revamped Flynn back?

I just ponied up via D-Dad's PayPal account (because, as Willie Sutton once said, that's where the money is).

Good - back in the black (although repaying Fran for some of the outlay would be a good thing).

Now how about those t-shirts?

It occurs to me that a three or four gray scale of something like this would
be pretty cool looking on tee shirt. Or a three or four scale something.

I always liked the Shea C concept. Can mr. marathon give it a whirl?

Went to order a number shirt from FAF, but they are limited in sizes. I need an XL.

Hey look, nobody is gayer for posting on this board than me but I don't exactly wanna go walking around with a t-shirt proclaiming how gay I am.

I like the more Met insidery ones like the Wonderful Woody. I have a killer design everyone* will want associated with MBTN but gotta get off my butt and make it up.

*-by everyone I mean the 50 people who bought the book.

To DocTee (and anybody interested), we'll be refilling the XL section of the FAFIF tees in short order...and hoping that while we have inventory, 31 isn't retired.

So I am a bit confused here , an easy task that. Do I make a donation or are were going to make a CPF shirt and then I buy that to help put?

Here is my suggestion.

Phwam, I seriously think the late 70's and '80 are catching up with my
brain function. I don't remember that at all.

Boiled down so far, the idea was to come up with a promo item and I in-
cluded a link in case someone wanted to send some dough. A number of
people have made yearly donations and I appreciate that no end. The idea
that an overly cranepoolie tee is a bit much and perhaps more of a insider
one might be better was then tabled.

I don't know the answers, this is a discussion thread and I figure it can last
the month unless it goes where threads go to die.

I could dig up the assclown avatar and put CPF 2009 above it and see if
that looks funny.
