Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 It's been Metsmerized!
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I guess they intend to be there for a long time.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 i like it, enough that i might even buy a shirt or something with the logo.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 The one part I don't care for is the beveled wordmark, but I'll reserve judgment until I see how they apply all this to the uniforms.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Anyone have a link to the old one, for comparison's sake?
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Much better than the old one:
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Merch available starting tomorrow.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Now I am once again depressed that they chose Buffalo over Syracuse.
DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 The new one is much better.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 That's damn cool. I'll have to get a t-shirt or something.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 I could do without yet another fake-chrome look on the lettering, but then again I suspect this logo was designed by the same guy who designs all the MLB logos today. I do like the update on the skyline look. I see Buffalo's skyline in black, throwing a shadow that resembles NYC, just as the team's stars would one day make their mark on the big time, or so they will argue.
Guest Kong76 Guests Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Like it, someone send me a XXL for xmas NOW!!!
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Strikes me that there aren't a lot of minor league affiliates that have the same color scheme as the parent club.PawtucketRichmondIowaMFY AffiliateDon't think there are many others.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 Norfolk seems to be going that way:
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 ="Nymr83"]the old one is disgusting. The ones before those, on the other hand, were minor league character logo perfection.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted December 16, 2008 Posted December 16, 2008 OO i see a red X.]Strikes me that there aren't a lot of minor league affiliates that have the same color scheme as the parent club. i'd guess clubs would want to make $$ off the different colors, figuring that less people will buy a minor league shirt that the same color as the big-league shirt they already have 5 of.the yankees, on the other hand, just put out all kinds of ugly color hats with their logo on it.
