Willets Point Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 This may be the hardest vote for me yet. I love both of these movies.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Went with 'Fish'.LOVE that movie.
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I loved Raiders, so I voted for it.I don't think I ever saw Fish.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Raiders. I've always had a thing for Karen Allen. Plus "Fish" never did much for me to be honest.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I know Raiders is a classic, but I liked Fish much more. John Cleese rules!
dgwphotography Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Raiders is a classic. Fish - not so much.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Liked both but Raiders is the winner for me.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Toughest choice on the board -- went with Raiders based on the sheer scope of it's return to action/adventure bigness.
Methead Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Oh no! It's K-K-K-Ken, c-c-c-coming to k-k-k-kill me!

Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Both good, but there was nothing like Fish.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 It's hard to go against John Cleese and Jaime Lee Curtis, but I gave the nod to Indiana Jones and his lost ark.
Vic Sage Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 FISH is a great throwback to those wonderful Ealing Studio comedies of the 40s-50s with Alec Guiness. It's clever and well done, with great cast and script. But FISH is to INDIANA JONES as a drizzle is to a thunder-storm.
Guest cooby Guests Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 To this day I can't figure out why I wasted an evening many years ago watching A Fish Called Wanda. Dumb.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 I really struggled with this one too.I don't think either has aged all that well -- it is easier to choose if that's not the case -- so I went with my initial impression.'Fish' made me laugh pretty hard; but only Indy knocked my socks off, especially the first 20 minutes.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Cruelty to animals is not funny and bleeds into the way I feel about the rest.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 There was animal cruelty in 'Fish'?Do you mean when Otto put the fish in his mouth?Really?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted October 20, 2008 Posted October 20, 2008 Animals were killed left and right for laughs in that film. Not just the fish but three dogs, all to make for laughter at super-sensitive Ken's expense.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted October 21, 2008 Posted October 21, 2008 It's like the 1981 AFC Championship.
