Also in the Pioneer league, for the Diamondbacks Missoula affiliate. A 38th rounder, he's 21 and doing aight, but needs control work.

While Jesse, Sr. had a little pot in his belly, his kid is, well, rotund.



Casey Hodges
Casey started in Danville, VA, not far from Dad.

He started strong, before leveling off and finishing with a still-fine 4-5, 2.47 line, and really good peripheral numbers.

Get that uni off him NOW!!!!



Preston Wilson
As far as I can tell, Preston never caught on with anybody this year, but never formally announced a retirement either.



Glen Johnson
Glen, who blew off a draft opportunity with the Mets to go to Jacksonville University, finished his freshman year getting into only 12 games and putting up stats that look exactly un-like his fathers, getting plenty of OBP, but not much SLG.

He's not currently listed on the team roster, so I wonder what's going on there. Who I did find there is ....

Tony Bernazard Son of Assistant GM and scapegoat Tony Sr., TJ hit a buck ninety-six for the Dolphiins as a third-year sophomore after a redshirt year, but I'm thinking Jacksonville just isn't updating their site.

Shawn Teufel
Shawn hasn't done anybody any favors with the bat at Liberty University.

Not shown there, however, is he seems to have switched to pitching with the Athletes in Action Fire, led his team in ERA, but couldn't buy a win.

One of the coolest spawn stories, though non-Metly, is Austin Yount. Austin, who looks like a gen-u-ine (though old for rookie ball) prospect, is the nephew, not the son, of Robin. His father is Larry Yount, who gets into the big league encyclopediae becaused he was announced into a game for Houston, hurt himself warming up, was removed, and never made it back.
