Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Screw this, I'm going to watch some bands I've never heard of before today. And desperately check the score on my phone in between songs. I can't quit these schlubs.

There's an eerie sense of dread here, like they know their season's over... especially when your must-win game starter is Sidney Ponson.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Carlos Delgado hits it out of Citizens Bank Park, Veterans Stadium, Connie Mack Stadium and the Baker Bowl. The Phillies can't build or borrow a home that can contain Carlos Delgado.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 It would be great if Schneider could do something productive.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Scott Eyre had a 1.8 WHiP last season. This year he pitched 11 innings with the Cubs and gave up 9 runs.Since the deal to Philly he's unscored upon thru 7+ and tongiht he faced 5 batters and the only fair ball we hit was a GiDP (also K - K - K - Foul out)
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Gotta do something in this here 8th inning. The only guy who was NOT overused last night was Lidge so we'll shirley see him in the 9th.2-3-4 due up.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 I really can't believe this. Delgado.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Now let's see somebody else take part. "Now is the time!"
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Delgado gets it done all by his own self. Good stuff. The booth is right, too. C. Manuel is dumb to not bring in Lidge to pitch to Delgado there.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2008 Posted August 27, 2008 Murphy breaks the 0-fer-16 slump with a double in the corner. C'mon, Schneid. It's called an insurance run.
