Dolphin Face returns. Wondering if his kids are still getting that great suburban-Denver education he always wanted for them. Petey gets the nod for the good guys.

Sweep these bitches.

I know Wright was the Mets sandwich pick for Hampton's departure, but does anyone happen to know if Heilman was taken with the Rockies pick or with our own?

Also, with this pitching matchup, the trainers better be on their toes.

- Heilman (#18) was taken with the Rockies' pick.
- We forfeited our own (#26) to Oakland for inking Kenin Appier which they used to draft Jeremy Bonderman
- Oakland's supplemental pick for Appier (#37 overall - LHP John Rheinecker) turned out to be right before the one we used to pluck Wright.
P.S. Yanx had the supplemental pick 4 picks before ours choosing OFer Bronson Sardinha (whew!)

Note: of the 37 players selected before David Wright in that 2001 draft, only Joe Mauer (#1) and Mark Texiera (#5) have achieved similar levels of success in the majors.

Valad was here, I saw him up top. It just struck me that it has to be like
8 or 9 hours later there.

That came on the random shuffle on my mp3 player the other day and I laughed out loud. I hadn't heard it outside of that commercial in a long time.

That's a really enjoyable album, by the way.

Could you imagine a Wright-Jeter left side of the Yankee infield? I would hork my intestines out.

Meanwhile, the happy-not-to-be-a-Yankee Mr. Wright just hit a double with one out.

Rats! With Pedro, you get five good innings and not a pitch more.

Meanwhile, the Phils are tied with the Nats and the Jays are embarrassing the MFYs

Ayala saves Feliciano's butt. Good pick-up so far.

Way to change the game Runge. It should be Endy on 1st running for Castro and 1 out instead of 2 out, bases empty.
