Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Just give Wright and Delgado a pony keg and let them have a party. They earned it tonight.

What did Infante do?Wright is on second , Delgado needs a hit , he lines out to Infante who seems to lose the ball in the lights or slip and the ball clangs of his glove....
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 nice W, pedro went further than i expected, i'm glad they brought him back out after the 3-run inning which i wasnt sure they would.
Guest metsguyinmichigan Guests Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Wow! Those are the kinds of things that happen when you are on a roll.
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 You gotta love: everybody on the top step; the rally caps; the jubilation after the win; Delgado running across the field to hug somebody; the fist pumping and hugging en route to the clubhouse. Wow.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 I thought this game really started off kind of sad with two pitchers far removed from their best days scuffling against two offenses also doing their share of struggling. But it really turned out to be a compelling game, and both starters acquitted themselves respectably. The O still worries me some but its great to see the Mets not cheating themselves defensively and winning the kinda games that turn on better execution overall. That's something we didn't do enough of last year or early this one.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted August 21, 2008 Posted August 21, 2008 Well-meaning guys next to me littered my limited foot space with peanut shells. Absolute morons behind me moistened the bag under my seat with beer. Plus every other word out of their moron mouths was fucking, which in itself isn't a problem but from them it was quite grating -- also every third story they told concerned them being "so drunk, bro" or being thrown out of Shea. And when I went to check my fancy new handheld device, the battery had completely run down, which I found curious since I had recharged it earlier in the day and had barely used it since. Then Delgado did his thing and it was like the greatest night ever.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 22, 2008 Posted August 22, 2008 Went to the game last night. Had a fucking blast man. Me and my homes got so wasted it was like we didn't even fucking know where we were. Everything was cool except this one dork sitting in front of us shooting us dirty looks. Fuck him man. Switched the battery out on his Blackberry when he wasn't looking. Hahaha. Fucking geek.Threw up after 4. Homes and I were thrown out after 6. Who won?
