bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I thought you meant for Ayala. Next? Take your pick.

Guest KC Guests Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Tying run to the plate, everybody just snap with the three move stuff.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Is Argenis really going to hit here?
bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Tell me that he's PHing J for A.

batmagadanleadoff Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Argoogleeoog Reyes makes the last out. He gets more plate appearances today than any other Met. Brilliant.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Pitcher's spot was in the #2 hole, J-Rey was going to PH if A-Rey got on.

bmfc1 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Jerry said that Sandy made the moves ("I was watching just like y'all").
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Deep breath. 6-1 road trip. Deep breath.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 It would have been nice to close that run out 7-0.Atlanta, an Aug and Sept pain the ass of the past, and then Houston who they didn't exactly manhandle when they were down there in for four. The upcoming week could just plain suck as much as the last week rocked. It's gonna be one of those seasons again.
Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Atlanta has been struggling. Houston sucks. I think this week will be just fine. A good time to put some distance between the Mets and Phils. After that we have a bitch of a road trip.
Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 F That. I feel like punching myself in the face.
Guest KC Guests Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 The punch in the neck quickly came and went here.[dopebox]It goes against my grain to be a Gloomy Gus but hell if I'm going to get allshits and giggles over this team until they kick some Atlanta ass. I wanna see Rollins boo-hooing on camera, I wanna see Marlins belly up on shore. I want breathing room!Put us together another week of 6-1 and have a fun September instead of an up and down night after night of gut wrenching and close Shea with a KABOOM! [/dopebox]
Guest holychicken Guests Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 I am not nearly as down about this game as most of you seem.Other than the BP sucking, as usual, the Mets have been playing some good ball lately. Great defense, great SP and good offense. Ayala responds to the change of scenery and we get Wagner back and all of a sudden we have a mediocre BP. I'll take that combo down the stretch.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Armchair quarterback time: Assuming (for the moment) that you too saw fit to end Maine's day after five, which bullpenner do you go to first?
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted August 18, 2008 Posted August 18, 2008 Well first I have to say that theres no way I end Maine's outing after 5 scoreless innings, even though he had walked 4 batters. But if I'm going to do it, I think Stokes is the guy to turn to there. Especially if Manuel planned on continuing to bring in multiple relievers in every 8th and 9th inning.
