]RHP Chien-Ming Wang was examined today at New York Presbyterian Hospital Columbia Medical Center by Yankees Team Physician, Dr. Stuart Hershon and Dr. Jason Greisberg, Foot and Ankle Specialist. Imaging studies revealed a mid-foot sprain of the Lisfranc ligament of the right foot and a partial tear of the peroneal longus tendon of the right foot. Wang will be on crutches and wear a protective boot for a minimum of six weeks.

With recuperation, September before he returns probbably.

And I was looking forward to the Wang-Pedro matchup... Now maybe it's Igawa.

Why do infielders have to tag a runner? They could be hurt. That's a rule from the 1800s.

He threatened to beat up a bartender who cut him off the night before a start then went out there and sucked. The last straw was threatening to beat up Ron Washington for pushing his start back a day.

Looks like he'd be on track to start in the Met-MFY doubleheader.

I by the way screwed this thread up badly when I went over the pitching, thinking the series would be this weekend, not next.
