Guest KC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Yeah, I'm just gonna shut up. Bad enough we'll probably awake to three newWillie threads by batmagadanleadoff.Nigh nigh.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Gonzalez's double wasn't hit very well and it could have likely been played better by Beltran, but Pelfrey set himself up for that play to hurt him with his wildness. Pelfrey helped to do himself in by walking Jacobs on 4 pitches and then hitting the next hitter, Uggla with a 2-2 pitch.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 OK, everybody on Heilman's back. We're going places.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Darling even said from the booth that Beltran froze and could have madea better play on the non-double.No really, I'm done with that.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Come now. Nolasco isn't exactly bringing it here. Good time to rally here.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Two on, no out.Two on, no out.Two on, no out.Two on, no out.Stomp-stomp-clap!Stomp-stomp-clap!Stomp-stomp-clap!
Guest KC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Evans up with first and third and two down. Too bad Willie is in the dugout.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Brammit.Hey, anybody mention Geremi Gonzalez in the booth tonight?(I'm listening to a commercial enumerating the majesty of the moment when a batter hist his 600th homer, but they've deleted Griffey.)
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Word on the wire is that there will be a press conference during the seventh inning so Willie can discuss the game so far.
Gwreck Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 SNY did mention Gonzalez on the scrolling ticker on the bottom of the screen.Glad to see Heilman earning some beer tonight.

Our guys are going to battle. They've been here before and they'll pull through. You know, we missed some opportunities early. But, our guys just need to do well the rest of the way. There's a whole lot of baseball left to be played, man, and, you know, we'll pull through. Doesn't anyone have any questions about the game?
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Sgt. Elizabeth Quiñones (still a corporal in the photo) beseeches God to bless America.Mets sting the ball a little, go in order.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Is Helms allowed to hit it that far?Hanley with the infield in. Yikey.
Guest Rockin' Doc Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Well, that inning could have been better, but it certainly could have been worse. Elsewhere around the NL, the Phillies are busy pummeling the Rockies by a score of 16-4 through 6. Atlanta defeated Arizona earlier in the day by a score of 7-3.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Awful lotta Mets being retired in a row here with two outs in the 8th.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 9 batters have faced the Marlin pen - 9 outs - 9 balls that haven't left the infield
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I merely hat them. But give me time....
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Ron talking about the security like only a rich fuck would.
Guest KC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 I don't see so much as a rich-fuck thing, but more I don't care how Ron gotto his car back in the day during a 2008 b'cast. If the Mets were winning 16-1 I would be more tolerant of that stuff.
Guest AG/DC Guests Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 Since when is Hanley Ramirez a Gold Glover?
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2008 Posted May 26, 2008 The last 15 batters made outs and not one ball out of the infield in the final 3 innings
