Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 More headsupness from Mr. Wright.Delgado drove one that I thought had a chance, but itcomes down short of the track in center.Kotsay thinks its the 3rd out and Wright takes advantage.Nice
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Easley gets ripped.Thats was no strike three.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Heilman comes on to rabid boo's.One guy musta had a megaphone....Hold em Heilman.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Heilman allows one after getting ripped off on that 4th pitch to Francoeur, which was a strike, inning over. IMO anyway Francoeur follows with a double and is driven in by a Prado singo.

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 If Reyes gets another knee in the head he's gonna be a living bobble head.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Pagan did something there I'm noticing a lot lately ... he slid late.IOW, he's already skidding to a stop as he crosses the plate rather than exploding across the base so that he's still evading the tag but just not yet slowing up as he's doing it.Close play - and a different slide might not have changed the result - but it just seems to me I'm seeing that more and more lately when it's not necessary.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Sooner or later we've got to get to someone in this Bravo bullpen.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Or we could just look at three consecutive third strikes.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Sanchez does the job. Insurance would be nice.
Theoldmole Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Only one more...and Wags still perfect.
TransMonk Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I'd like to see more than 20 minutes of offense out of this group, but I'll take the win for sure.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 Wow.Wags ninth was just a joy to watch.98mph fastball on the black. And how can you hit the slider after seeing a fastball like that?Very nice indeed.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 wagner has thrown 9 hitless innings this year, i'm a bit annoyed that he had to pitch today at all. aftet bouncing the opposing starter in the 3rd inning the mets cant just go the remaining 6 without scoring, they to need to pounce on the soft underbelly of an already depleted bullpen.
Valadius Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 That may be the closest we'll ever come to a no-hitter. I'll take it... for now. I'd still like to see it.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 I missed the whole game today (golf tournament). I was glad to see them get off the shnide, for a day at least.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 you watched GOLF instead of the mets?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 26, 2008 Posted April 26, 2008 ="Nymr83"]you watched GOLF instead of the mets?No I played golf all afternoon.
