so willie is willing to "diss" delgado by moving him down to 6th but is unwilling to do the same by continuing the successful experiment of putting Castillo 8th?

They're retiring the number in the new Washington ballpark tonight.

I hope one of our crew make their way down behind home plate and beat the shit out of the wanker wearing the Yankee cap and the dumb shades.....

Maybe they did, because he's wearing a Nats cap now.

Pathetic.

Anyone else notice that the camera angles are all off on the SNY broadcast? All the infield shots are WAY too high.

The Mets' bat angles are off too.

Reyes swings at the first pitch, after Redding walks the 8th and 9th hitters.

I was gonna remark I couldn't make out the arc of cut-out grass to the inside of first base.

Watching the Mets hit these days is excruciating. Would somebody please bash one off the fence?

Hagin and Howie are saying that their both is as high as the upper deck is at Shea... I wonder if the camera wells are in weird locations also. I don't remember weird angles during the ESPN season opener, though.

Not to jump on the bandwagon here but when Church made that bare handed catch SNY had one replay at an odd angle , at least I wondered at the time why they didn't show it from other angles because it looked like the ball skipped on the grass.

Hi! It's the ever cheerful grote15....I got slammed in spring training for for suggestion Pagan might be the best option in LF..well..well.

A team takes on the character of their manager.

If Ray Walston in Fast Times at Ridgemont High had the Mets in his classroom he would still yell his classic line " Are you all on dope!"

I am certainly not the only one that who wanted Willie's ass out of here pre-swoon 2007, post swoon 2007 and 2008.

Carlos Delgado..Time waits for no mans bat speed.

Now lets win some games in and send Shea out in style

Ray King on in the sixth.

C'mon ... tell me that doesn't make you laugh out loud a little in a tie ballgame.

Ray King. Bring him on NOW!!!

Well, we got an infield hit off him already!

I edited, I don't know why I put RBI.

The alternative is to rely on the opposition to throw it out of the infield.

its now 4-2 Mets thanks to another bad play by the nats (they're calling this one a hit)

This is funny, 5-2.

Watch Santana go yard off King.
