Santana hits the hardest Met ball of the last 3 games with a big double, his 3rd of the year.

I should go back to see how we scored our final runs on Sunday night because the streak might be even longer.

On Edit: The last run scored on Sunday was via a Church bloop. That was the last Met RBI that left the infield.

Ray "Burger" King not getting it done for the Nats.

Nice to see an honest to God rally. I missed the Friday and Saturday games while traveling so I feel like it's been an eternity since I've seen them string a bunch of runs together.

I've been watching them every day and experienced the same eternity. This kinda game is good to win, at least, and the stolen bases are really helping. But give me a few doubles.

So tonight the Yanx & CHiSox are the ESPN game and yet that's being blacked out in the NYC area - whereas the Met-Cubs game on Monday was broadcast on both.
Not sure why the difference.

On my cable package the ESPN HD channel is being coopted with ESPN News HD. We don't normally get that as a HD channel but it looks great in that format.

Ugh. Only April 23 and I'm totally tired of stupid Giuseppe and his hair restoral product.

Maybe someone at SNY can sell some ad time to someone else.

I'm trying to be patient, but it's not my strong suit.

I keep reminding myself that Jose "Stache" Valentin did a whole lot of nothing as a PH in 2006 for the first 5-6 weeks and ended up being a key guy for that team once he earned some playing time and found his rhythm.

Per Rotoworld on 4/15:

Jose Valentin's agent estimates that he is two to four weeks away from playing in minor league games.

Yeah, that's what I meant by 'blacked out'
It's just that the same thing did NOT happen on Monday and I'm curious why. The rights for Monday night must differ from the Wednesday package. It can't be the teams since it's the teams playing are from same cities playing IN the same city.

="Rotoword on April 15th"]Jose Valentin's agent estimates that he is two to four weeks away from playing in minor league games.

It's some encouraging news regarding the disks that are pinching a nerve in Valentin's neck. The 38-year-old was contemplating retirement if the injury needed surgery.
