Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Tampa Bay destroying the Yankees 13-4. They hammered Kennedy early, and now are thumping Hawkins (0.2 IP, 6 runs) & Farnsworth late, wasting good middle relief between. Sorry Steve J. Rogers.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Nice to see one of the Yankee hot shots get hammered early.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Cliff Floyd hit his second homer of the season in that game to make it 7-4 Rays.
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I watched the Jays/Sox tilt on MLB Extra Innings.I'm real close to ordering it, even without any extra HD games included in the cost.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Me too, was just at my Cablevision account and nearly got it, here is the thing though, can I justify paying $159 when I won't be watching it when Mets games are on and I will be going to bed after those Mets games, apart from flipping through the games I just don't think I would get to watch it a lot.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 I find that we put on EI a lot when the Mets aren't on (after a day game or during an off day). In our household we definitely watch it enough to make it pay, but you know your viewing habits better.I'd much rather watch an out of market game than almost anything on television these days.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 Checked out a little of the Yankee postgame.Ian Kennedy's got Austin Powers teeth.
nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 4, 2008 Posted April 4, 2008 ex-Met Mike Jacobs hit a walkoff HR for the Marlins to beat Pittsburgh tonight.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 While we're waitig to see if we play today, lets see if anyone can answer this question (courtesy of This Week in Baseball, don't answer if you were watching.)Ryan Zimmerman opened the Nationals' new park with a walk-off homerun. When was the last walkoff homerun at the first game in a new stadium and who hit it?
Benjamin Grimm Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I'm afraid it's going to be Babe Ruth at Yankee Stadium in 1923.Yankee Stadium seems to figure into everything these days.
Guest OlerudOwned Guests Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Rays putting another beat down on the Yankees, at least so far.Johnny Gomes, half of the coolest platoon in baseball with Cliff Floyd, has a three-run homer.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Gomes was having a tough day prior to that HR.He thought he HRed earlier in the game and was already in his HR trot when the ball bounced off the top of the wall and he was tagged out jogging into 2nd. He then managed to somehow lose a fly ball in the sun while standing in the shade.Cliff had an swesome Cliffy HR last night, a laser into the RF bleacher seats that could have killed any fan who wasn't alert.

nymr83 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 Mike Jacobs hit a grand slam tonight after a walkoff homer yesterday, anyone regret that trade yet?
Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 5, 2008 Posted April 5, 2008 I've been watching the Angels/Rangers tilt on MLB EI. Jered Weaver's got some filthy stuff.

Fman99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 6, 2008 Posted April 6, 2008 Mariners bullpen blows 9th inning lead without Putz in there and costs King Felix (and my best fantasy team) the win today.
