Welcome Mario. Tell us about yourself.

This is a nice change - I can't remember the last time we had an actual new poster introduce themself (selves?).

Usually our new registrants (strents?) are just Viagra hawkers.

Nice to have you Mario, enjoy Fantasy Camp.

I've often wonderd how they give you the uniform numbers at those things. Do they just ask you what number you want? I mean how many guys at one camp can be 41?

Hey maybe you'll bump into Garth Brooks there, what players are going to be there, I assume Bucket is having a laugh.

1) Don't pull "a Kramer"

2) We expect a full report upon your return

Yeah I didn't want to confuse Mario.

Top Marios in Met history.

1. Ramirez
2. Diaz
3. 25

Ramirez and Diaz set the bar low enough that I think 25 can climb the ladder with a good fantasy camp performance.

If things go really well we may read that Mario was once an Expos prospect and Omar just signed him to a multi year deal.

Mama mia!

(For what it's worth, I don't know that Donkey Kong is your traditional shortstop, but he probably has pretty good range. I do like Koopa on the mound, in the finest Wellsesque tradition.)

I got confused, thought that Koopa was in fact Roger Clemens.

Welcome to the asylum, Mario25. I hope you have a great experience at the Mets camp. I'm quite jealous. Look forward to seeing you online in the future.

Cool. I'm no longer the new guy.

Welcome to the board, and have a great time down at fantasy camp.

Thanks everyone for the kind words and I like the Mario picture someone sent. As far as Fantasy Camp is concerned they do ask you your favorite number ahead of time so there will be a lot of the same numbers running around. I am ecstatic that I get to meet my baseball hero willie montanez who was the Mets 1b when cable tv (wwor9) came to my city. I also am happy that Super Joe Mcewing is gonna be there as well as
Swoboda,Grote,Stearns, Mcandrew and many others. Thanks again everyone and I am excited to be part of the Crane Pool forum.

Willie was one of the more enjoyable aspects of those dark days. He seemed like a great player, but only in comparison to the rest of those Mets teams of the late 70s. But he certainly got style points for his glove work.

Loved how he'd hold guys on constantly tagging them and making them return the base when no pickoff was ever thrown. He had mustard in his veins.
