DocTee Old-Timey Member Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Enjoy...please post pics and have a pastrami for me.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 Hmm... How long were you planning to be there? I'm booked for cake and ice cream on account of my nephew's birthday, but I doubt that's going to be an all-night thing and North Babylon isn't terribly far from Rockville Centre. I'll come if I can.

Guest John Cougar Lunchbucket Guests Posted December 25, 2007 Posted December 25, 2007 I'll be away at the in-laws.
G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 To paraphrase Linda Richman, we'll have coffee*, we'll talk, no big whoop.*I don't actually drink coffee.
Guest KC Guests Posted December 26, 2007 Posted December 26, 2007 I mapquested it and it's a good 45 miles and easily over an hour so I think I'll have to pass (and it's a work night). I'd like to see a couple of ya'll but I'll hold out hope that we can have a pre-season meeting in the city (with a good half-dozen additional bodies than thisyears come March) which is more centrally located.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 Ah, too late and too far for me. Thanks for the invite, though.
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 G-FaFiF, wear something Metly. I don't have my Mets gear, but I'll be in a brown coat, Cha in a red leather trench, and I'll, um, bring a Mets Christmas ornament.

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted December 27, 2007 Posted December 27, 2007 I'll be wearing the same haunted, far-off look I've been trudging around since September 30.
Guest themetfairy Guests Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 So Greg - where are the pictures, descriptions and accounts of "My Dinner With Edgy"?

G-Fafif Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Forgot to hire a photographer for the event, but the Long Island meetup was quite the cult success. Couldn't be beat for the company, the venue, the personal convenience (five minutes from home) and steady stream of Met minutiae that ate up two hours (between bites out of the Pantry Diner's sturdy menu) before we knew it. Good to meet the DCs in the flesh. Always good to find a reason to wear a baseball cap in December.
Frayed Knot Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Just seeing this now .... ummm, don't think I can make it.
smg58 Old-Timey Member Posted December 28, 2007 Posted December 28, 2007 Sorry I couldn't get there, but in general I'd be up for something like this again in the future.
