Sort of.

The commercial has drawn the ire of the Canadian TV officials in charge of regulating advertisements.

Globe and Mail wrote:
"I think we are taking ourselves a little too seriously if we're saying a pillow fight cannot air because it's viewed as too aggressive, or Frank's too big versus a small child," said Laurel Lindsay, vice-president of marketing for the Blue Jays.

I thought it was funny.

You fear that that's the best take they got. Here's another in the Jays' "Child abuse" series starring Roy Halladay. Most disturbing is the slogan at the end.

Holy crap, I didn't even realize that.

Somebody pen a strongly worded letter.

I'll stop short of saying these ads encourage mistreatment of kids but there is definitely a similar theme of the taunting of youngsters running through both of those ads.

Are you kidding me with that slogan? They didn't even try to camouflage it. They could've written 'You've Got To Believe' but they went right to the trademark!

Calling Centerfield...

I think that's Alex Rios' commercial.

I think that's Alex Rios' commercial.

My wife was looking at me quizically because I was roaring with laughter.

the big hurt has a really shitty staircase railing, doesn't he? it wobbles and shakes with every freakin' step! i mea, he's a big guy, and really lays a big hurtin' on those kids, but, damn, you'd think he could afford better carpentry!
