The far left field loge on the concourse is a wide open area. Since it's a big game, there should be beer and food down there, too. Not good for people watching, but out of the way. The only people who go down that far have tickets for those sections. Hey, Dickshot, that's where we saw "John Kruk"!

The crowd was great for last night's game. I will also give props to either the city or the Mets...whoever was responsible for parking. We arrived near Shea at 7, and followed signs to alternate Shea parking, wound up out past the unisphere, parked on a makeshift lot ($18), then a shuttle bus to the LIRR station and a short walk to the stadium, and we were in our seats by 7:30. I'd still recommend arriving early, but they seem better organized this year as opposed to years past.

Oh, and attending last night reminded me of a great feeling at Shea: looking at the out of town scoreboard, and having it blank.

A friend of mine who went to a Division Series game said the same thing about the OOTS; it's kinda neat.

I guess it depends on where you're coming from, but mass transit to Shea really does seem like the best bet.

When I go, which isn't all that often anymore, I drive into Manhattan and park on First Avenue around 40th Street. The parking there isn't too expensive. From there I walk to Grand Central and get the 7 train.

It's the 10th anniversary of my fatherhood.
