metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 There are no must win games in August but I'd hate to get swept.......when was the last time the Mets got swept in a four game series,I imagine it was in recent seasons.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 JD, I always did like that song.Thanks for the memories.Later
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Wait a minute. There's no Billy Joel in the thread but there's freaking Swing Out Sister?!?! This place is bizarre.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Maine looked fine in the first.Nice 1-2-3 inning with a K to Utley.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Single by Valentin-Moved over by Milledge-DiFelice with a line single to right, his first hit as a Met,drives in run #2.Maine sacs DiFelice over and Reyes drives him in with a ground single....now this is the team Im used to watchin.3-0 Mets

Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 My favorite is the fast paced rap-like part at the end. Makes me want to get up and dance.
Guest cooby Guests Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 You know, that was one of the featured videos yesterday in the video thread.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Two really nice fielding plays back up Maine in the 2nd.Chavez chases Howards long drive into the left field corner, leaps, and pulls it down.Reyes with a diving grab in the hole of Lieberthals line drive, easily robs a single.
seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Holy crap! Carlos Delgado got a hit!BTW -- I gotta say I really love Zvon's kabooms.
metirish Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 ]BTW -- I gotta say I really love Zvon's kabooms.So do I ,and that's why I don't bother posting anymore Kabooms.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Had no idea Delgado was in 'Apocolypse Now'.
Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Thanks guys, but really, the more kabooms the better.I make these cuz I enjoy messing with graphics in my spare time, but if they are gonna stop others from posting kabooms, one of the reasons I so enjoy IGTs, Ill refrain.Reyes works an at bat in the 4th, and draws a walk.He didnt chase that 3-2 fast ball-Very nice.
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Sheesh, Howard is a beast. If he doesn't eat himself out of baseball, they could have a McCovey in the making.Later

Zvon Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Utley doubles to right-Milledge with a decent play to keep it from getting to the wall- tho he ran right at the ball and was lucky to grab it and cut it off. It was double no matter how he played it.And Howard with a towering homer to left-gone off the bat.It wasnt a bad pitch by Maine.A nice fastball on the outside part of the plate--- cant get away with that to Howard. That guy can hit anything out.4-2 Mets

Methead Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Could the Carlos-monster be out of the cage?
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I hope not. Let the monster out on September 30th.

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 Who is this Carlos Delgado and what have you done with the .150-hitting monster we've grown to dislike?
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2006 Posted August 17, 2006 I thought you were going to go with Gene Siskel for your Sisk avatar, seawolf.
