Fun day to be at the ballpark. Lots of groups/organizations basically taking over the entire mezzanine, plus the $5 upper deck tickets so the place was pretty full.

Reyes advancing to third on the Woodward groundout was great, he basically didn't stop running while at 2nd base.

Didn't have the benefit of the replay but Pedro looked really disappointed that he didn't get that hit.

Heath Bell waited for all of the infielders before the dugout rail, giving them all props, especially Reyes. He was pumped after the DP.

Curtain call for Wright after the 2nd homer was nice.

You said it. I was in a nice spot in the lodge, shaded but without losing too much view (couldn't see a chunk of the RF corner/Mets pen, but hey).

Didn't realize until I got home that Reyes was the first guy to swipe a bag off Milton this season, but damn was it fun to watch him run. The ground ball play you mentioned was cool because my eyes were following the throw to first, and when I pick my head up, Reyes is at third.

Javier Valentin's AB in the 9th was classic. Guy just did not want to be up there batting in the heat on his day off.

Great, great day to catch a ballgame.

A good write-up of that play I was wondering about from the Times:

In the fifth inning yesterday, Reyes led off with a single against Reds starter Eric Milton. With Chris Woodward batting, Reyes broke toward second. Woodward's grounder pulled third baseman Juan Castro toward shortstop, and when Castro threw to first, leaving third base uncovered, Reyes accelerated, reaching there easily. He scored on Beltr�n's single.

]Wright, watching the ball touch down 415 feet away in the left-center bleachers, almost passed Beltran on the bases because Beltran was preparing to tag up.

Did this really happen (Wright's first home run, the one in the fourth inning) or is the Post just being dramatic?
