Centerfield Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Nady tells CF to stick it up his ass. Then sticks his head up his own ass and gets thrown out trying to stretch.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Nady is out trying to stretch a single into a double, but he knocks in Franco in the process. 3-2 Mets.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 ="Eric Milton"]Ha ha Mets! I am one-hitting you!Looks like you spoke too soon, Eric.I think we play the Mets tonight. No, Jackass. The Yankees.I have sex outdoors!

seawolf17 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I thought he was 14. Whatever.Who is this Wright kid? He's quite a hitter. They should hold on to him.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 There's a thread on that board where they talk about the Mets. I think everyone who posted on it went out of their way to say they DON'T hate the Mets. Interesting. I love reading out of town people think about baseball in general and the Mets in particular. Did I mention that yet?
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I gotta be honest: I don't hate the Reds either, and I'm happy for their success.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I don't see much reason for hating the Reds either. They're just anudder team to me.
soupcan Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Nuxhall was 15 when he debuted, no?
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Interesting that they are discussing where they can move Milton. Last I checked they were still in the race. They probably know something about their team that I don't.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I have no hatred for the Reds. Our neighbor, who is a lovely person, grew up in Ohio and is a Reds fan. I just want to beat their asses today, that's all.
Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 How did Reyes get to second? Gamecast shows a single and then him moving to third on Woody's groundout.
Guest Johnny Dickshot Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 He's home now on a Beltran single.
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 He got to second on the groundout also. I can't describe the play, but it was a wild one. Then he scores to give the Mets a 4-2 lead
MFS62 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 ="soupcan"]Nuxhall was 15 when he debuted, no?Yeah, that sounds right. So he's still deserving of full retirement. When Brooklyn lost its team, I started to look for another NL team to root for and became a Reds fan for a while. I liked Frank Robinson and Vada Pinson. I still like the team and wish them well, but not against the Mets.Almost 100 pitches for Pedro through five. Get somebody ready in the pen.Later
Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Did I mention that I love that boy?His second two-run homer of the day gives the Mets a 6-2 lead!
Guest Rotblatt Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Oh. My. God. How good is David Wright? I mean, seriously.

Guest ScarletKnight41 Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 Pedro likely ends the day by striking out the side in the 6th inning.

Elster88 Old-Timey Member Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 I gotta think Pedro is more likely to win a Cy Young than Glavine. If the Mets get him more wins and he gets his ERA down around 2.50 or so his strikeouts could seperate him from the rest of the league.Coupla big ifs in there.

Reyes didn't stop at second he went all the way to third on the groundout. To third. On the groundout. Pretty awesome huh?
Guest Edgy DC Guests Posted June 22, 2006 Posted June 22, 2006 The pen went deep yesterday. Go seven, Pedro. With 110 pitches, prolly not.
